There are so many on line comics now, I don't even know how many there are, much less being able to list them. This is just a partial list of the comics out there. But if you like comics, there is Keenspot, which is the biggest publisher of on line comics anywhere.

On Line Comics

In my opinion, the three best comics on the net.

Bruno the Bandit Bruno the Bandit: Not to be confused with Bruno. This is a swashbuckling tale of an inept bandit of old and his faithful microdragon Fiona. Updated Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Books available from Plan 9 Publishing.
Dan and Mab's Furry Adventures! Dan and Mab's furry adventures!: It has the word 'furry' in the title. That may be what is keeping this excellently drawn and very funny comic out of the eyes of the mainstream. Family rated, nothing objectionable, except perhaps the occasional exploding faery glen. (Hint, don’t pull their antenna.) Updated Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Kevin and Kell Kevin and Kell: One of the first on line comics and still one of the best. The trials and tribulations of a mixed marriage between a carnivore and herbivore. Lots of computer references. Updated daily. Books available from Plan 9 Publishing.

Other good on line comics
21st Century Fox 21st Century Fox: Probably the most improved comic on the web. From near scrawls and stick figures at the beginning to full color animated gifs. Even with the improved art, this comic's strongest point remains the writing.
Adventures of Fifnie, The Adventures of Fifine, The: Think Tin Tin. Very well done serial adventure comic, with some very nice artwork. Described by the writer as 'I'm just an ordinary French maiden surrounded by the worst people imaginable.' Updated weekly.
Alice Alice: The adventures of a very imaginative young girl. Actually the home of several comics, but Alice makes a convenient handle.
Bugs Bugs: They see everything you do. They hear everything you say. They are very, very small. A rendered comic by Den Whitton. Updated weekly.
By The Saints By The Saints: Colonial era conflict by Chris Kozloski. Updated weekly.
Catharsis Catharsis: A very fun little comic about a girl, her live in dragon, a bald squirrel, intelligent (maybe) dust bunnies, pirate socks, and a tribe of wild cherries.
clan of the Cats Clan of the Cats: "For Better or Worse" meets "Tales from the crypt". Updated daily.
Code name Hunter Code Name Hunter: A serial that follows the careers of two agents, Max and his partner Ruby. Good story and drawings. Updated three times a week.
College Roomies from Hell!!! College Roomies from Hell!!!: Anyone who's lived with a room mate will appreciate this comic. Updated Daily.
Dela the Hooda Dela the Hooda: The story of alien fox stranded in a small Canadian town.
Evil Inc. Evil Inc,: Why be just a little evil as a villain with super powers when you can run a corporation and be truly, legally, evil? Updates daily.
Fight, Cast, or Evade Fight, Cast, or Evade: Fighting, spell casting, and when that fails, bravely running away! Join Yerzle as he tries to make his name in the highly competitive treasure-acquisition industry. Updated Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Funny Farm Funny Farm: Managing an apartment building doesn't get any stranger than this. Updated daily.
Girl Genius Girl Genius: By the talented Phil Foglio. Excellent artwork. Complex storyline. Updates Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
General Protection Fault General Protection Fault: Another computer geek related comic would have to be pretty exceptional for me to list it here. Fortunately, GPF is. Updated daily.
Hellbound Hellbound: A comic by Eric Nault, funny, well drawn, interesting characters, and in color. Rated strong PG for language and cartoon violence.
Hosers Hosers: Hosers claims to have more beer and doughnuts per square inch than any other comic. Goats has more beer, but Hosers definitely has more doughnuts. Updated daily.
Irregular Webcomic Irregular Webcomic: A comic with Legos!
Little Dee Little Dee: A comic by Chris Baldwin who does Bruno. A lost child in the woods is adopted by animals. Simple, well drawn, and very funny.
Magpie House Design Magpie House Design: By Kathryn Garrison. The home of several comics. Rather than one continuous strip, it’s a series of stand alone comic stories. When one story is done, it’s on to the next. Well drawn, good stories, and lots of bad puns. Updated three times a week.
Mynarski Forest Mynarski Forest: A sociopathic vixen and the rabbit who tolerates her. Updated every Monday.
Nip and Tuck Nip and Tuck: Two backwoods brothers having fun. Updated weekly.
Newshounds Newshounds: The KPET news team digs up, well, whatever needs digging up. Updated daily. Book available from Plan 9 Publishing.
Nukees Nukees: Gav, a perpetual student and cynic turned mad scientist, tries to find love, life, and world domination in the world of academia. Updated Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Book available from Plan 9 Publishing.
Partially Clips Partially Clips: A clip art comic, but a really good one. Updated every other day.
Penny Arcade Penny Arcade: Gabe and Tycho Brahe play games and generally don't accomplish very much, but they have a lot of fun while doing it. Updated every other day.
polymercitychronicles Polymer City Chronicles (The): Very odd, but good artwork.
PVP PVP: Gamers, gamers, and more gamers! Who'd have thought they could be so funny?
Ozy and Millie Ozy and Millie: Just like the neighborhood you grew up in, if your neighborhood had wolves, dragons, and foxes in it. Well drawn, humor is excellent. Updates Tuesday and Thursday. Book available from Plan 9 Publishing.
Sluggy Freelance Sluggy Freelance: The weird and wacky adventures of Torg, his mad inventor friend Riff, and a switchblade wielding bunny. Updated daily. Books available from Plan 9 Publishing.
Schlock Mercenary Schlock Mercenary: Guns, explosives, powered armor, blobs with plasma cannons, big starships and more guns! Hey, ya gotta love a sci-fi comic where the emergency medical hologram is a stick figure. Updated daily.
Starslip Crisis Starslip Crisis: It's not easy being the curator of a heavily armed warship turned cultural museum. Updated daily.
Suburban Jungle Suburban Jungle: The life and times of a tiger who aspires to be a model. Updates Tuesday and Thursday.
Superosity Superosity: Almost no way to describe this one, except it's funny! Updated daily.
The White Board The White Board: The world's best paintball comic. Updated three times week.
The Wings of Change The Wings of Change: A mythical setting, a dragon ranger, and some really nice shaded artwork. Updated twice a week.
User Friendly User Friendly: Tales from the tech support staff. Updated daily.
Vexxarr! Vexxarr!:An alien invasion gone wrong. The advance scout is captured by humans! Can the alien commander still save the day in time for cake? Updated Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Zebragirl Zebragirl: Life was easier for Sandra before her room mate turned her into a demon. Unbelieveably good artwork. Updated weekly.
Zortic Zortic: A spoof of just about everything, from superheros to giant monster movies to star trek. And through this, he manages to weave a continuing storyline and some great humor. Updated Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Inactive comics
Comics that are no longer being updated, but still worth a look.

1/0 1/0: A comic with no fourth wall. The comic characters realize they’re characters, and not always in agreement with their creator.
Bruno Bruno: This is an excellent comic with characters who exhibit a depth of personality that is rarely seen anywhere, much less an on line comic. Some mature situations.  Books available from The Moody Cow.
Narbonic Narbonic: Cute evil scientists. Interns with dreams of mass destruction. Super intelligent gerbils. As the comic nears it's end, Shaenon K. Garrity has made the archives available for free.

Comics you may not want to show to your mother.
These are comics that while good, may be too much for those of a sensitive nature. Not for kids.

Bob the Angry Flower Bob the Angry Flower: A truly weird comic. Updated monthly, more or less.
Black Tapestries Black Tapestries: A beautifully drawn comic featuring magic, shapeshifters, and a woman caught in the middle of it..
Chopping Block Chopping Block: A very funny comic about a psychotic serial killer, and I'm impressed anyone can even pull that off.
Goats Goats: Mostly about beer and a couple of guys who hang out in a bar. Oh, yes. There's a satanic chicken. And Toothgnip, one of Thor's goats who tries to pick up women. And a couple of aliens. All in all, your normal bar hopping crowd. Some adult content. Updated daily.
Red Meat Red Meat: Weird, twisted, and funny. What more could you ask for? Updated weekly.
Sabrina On Line Sabrina On Line: Drawn by the talented Eric Schwartz, this is one of the best looking comics out there. It follows Sabrina as she tries to make a career as an artist. This comic does have some off screen adult references. Updated Monthly.
Sabrina story Sabrina story: Approved by Eric Schwartz, but not considered canon, this is a written story about Sabrina (listed above) done by Chris Foxx. Some adult content. Updated approximately every week.

You Damn Kid You Damn Kid: There are a lot of things about being a kid that no one talks about. Except this guy. Updated three times a week.
