Winston: Sorry for the delay. I wasn't expecting to have people bring their pets in at the end of the day. Though it does make me feel better about this place.
Winston: For all the talk of keeping a station sterile, humans don't survive well in that environment. We need plants and animals. We need life around us that isn't human.
Winston: Some of the problems in early long duration space flight can be traced back to that. It wasn't intentional, but what the engineers built were essentially biological sensory deprivation chambers.
